Creative Competition “Together We are the World!”

The Northern Convoys International Centre holds of the First International Artistic Creative Competition “Together We are the World!” in 2021. The Competition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the arrival of the first Allied convoy in the USSR on August 31, 1941.

The aim of the Competition is to implement the ideas of people's diplomacy through creative exchanges between young people and other age groups of Russia and foreign countries to strengthen friendship of them, as well as to form positive image of Russia abroad.

Among the Competition topics are: cooperation of the Soviet Union with other countries during the joint operations of World War II; naval operations in the Arctic during World War II; “They forged the Victory” (based on recollections of veterans, their relatives and friends).

The Competition is held in the following categories:

“Fine Arts”;
“Photographic Art”;
“Short video film”;
“Decorative and Applied Arts”;
“Literary Arts”: prose, poetry, journalism;
“Vocal”: author songs, songs by famous writers;
“Instrumental performance”;
“Choreography”: staged dance performance, musical, choreo;
“Students’ scientific work”.

The Competition is held jointly with Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping and was approved by the Committee on Arctic Affairs, the Committee for External Relations and the Committee for Culture of St. Petersburg.

Russian and foreign students of schools, universities and colleges, creative teams and individual performers are invited to take part in the Competition.

Applications and competitive works are accepted until October 31, 2021 (at: north.convoys.centre@mail.ru).

The winners and runners-up will be announced on December 1, 2021 on the website of the Northern Convoys International Centre.

The awarding ceremony in Russia will take place in St. Petersburg from December 1st to 15th , 2021. The exact date, time and place of the awarding ceremony will be announced.
