Cooperation between the International Centre and the Department of International Humanitarian Relations of St. Petersburg State University

On March 31, 2023, a meeting was held at the International Relations Department of St. Petersburg State University between Vladimir Solomonov, Director of the International Centre and first year students who are taking a special course at the Department of International Humanitarian Relations.

Vladimir Solomonov introduced the students to the activities of the "NCIC" Foundation, spoke about the projects which had already been realized and were to be realized, in particular - about creating a traveling exhibition devoted to the Northern Convoys and about the inter-museum project "The Northern Convoys of 1941-1945: from museum history to personal history". Students were invited to take part in the projects, namely, in archival work, in selecting various materials about the Northern Convoys, in writing research papers, in exploring the possibilities of cooperation between Russia and friendly countries on the subject of the Allied Convoys, and also as international experts evaluating the attractiveness of the projects for an international and youth audience.

Parvin Gezalov (Azerbaijan), the ICOMAM Board member, joined the meeting via the online platform; Mr. Gezalov gave the students valuable advice for the best development of professional skills and highly evaluated the cooperation between the International Centre and the Department of International Humanitarian Relations.
