Meeting in the Arctic Affairs Committee

On June 2, 2022 a meeting was held between Pavel Ozhgikhin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Northern Convoys International Centre" Foundation, and Vladimir Solomonov, Director of the "NCIC" Foundation and Andrey Anokhin, Deputy Chairman of St. Petersburg Committee on Arctic Affairs. During the meeting the cooperation between the Foundation and the Committee on the subject of the Northern Convoys was discussed, as well as the concept "The Arctic feat of the people as a new vector of civil and patriotic education of young people" developed by the Committee.

The concept prepared by Committee will allow to facilitate work with young people which is carried out by the Northern Convoys International Centre. It will also promote expansion of network of subjects of civil and patriotic upbringing of young generation of St. Petersburg.

The "NCIC" Foundation and the St. Petersburg Committee on Arctic Affairs signed a Cooperation Agreement in 2019. In 2021, the Foundation and the Committee closely cooperated organizing events included into the St. Petersburg plan of special events to mark the 80th anniversary of the arrival of the first Allied convoy "Dervish" in the Soviet Union.
