In the Central Naval Museum of St. Petersburg an exhibition presenting the works of participants of the Open Ship Modeling Contest was opened. The contest is held in the Central Naval Museum in accordance with the plan of the Maritime Council of the Government of St. Petersburg in 2022 on the initiative of the Admiral D. N. Seniavin Naval Technical College.
Daniil Nikitin and Artem Kustov, the winner and the finalist of the contest "Together We Are the World!" held by the Northern Convoys International Centre in 2021 in the historical and technical nomination take part in the contest. The boys brought their works for the contest to the Naval Museum, having come all the way from Kaliningrad together with their supervisor Oleg Martyshevsky. Oleg Vadimovich was also a participant in the competition "Together we are the World!", in which he was awarded the Grand Prix for professionalism and creativity.
The team of the International Centre visited an exhibition where we met our friends from Kaliningrad. Vladimir Solomonov, director of the International Centre, presented valuable prizes to Oleg Martyshevsky, Daniil and Artem, as well as handed over diplomas and prizes for other Kaliningrad participants of our last year contest. Such decision was made due to the remoteness of Kaliningrad from St. Petersburg, and the fact that it may be difficult for Kaliningrad participants to arrive directly to the date of the official awarding (the date of the awarding will be announced on the Foundation website).
Daniil Nikitin donated to the International Center a model of the Sherman tank he made.
