On December 14, 2020, Channel One Russia aired a story about veterans of the Northern convoys from the USA, who had been awarded Medal of Ushakov by the decree of President Vladimir Putin.

The news story emphasizes the importance of the supplies delivered by convoys for the Soviet Union, as well as the courage and heroism of their participants.
