International conference dedicated of the 80th anniversary of the Northern Convoys

On September 1, 2021, St. Petersburg will host the International Scientific and Historical Conference "The History of Arctic Convoys: Dialogue Through Time and Space". The conference will be held in a mixed format (online and offline). Conference participants - relatives of veterans of the Northern Convoys, historians, museum workers, writers, from Russia, USA, Great Britain, Denmark will present their reports on the history and contemporary interpretation of this important page of international cooperation of World War II.

Welcoming speeches from representatives of the Embassies and Consulates of Russia in the countries participating in the Northern Convoys are expected, as well as a demonstration of interviews with veterans from the United States who were awarded the Ushakov Medal in 2020. The conference is held by the Northern Convoys International Centre with the support of the St. Petersburg Committee on Arctic Affairs and the Maritime Council under the Government of St. Petersburg.

Simultaneously with the beginning of the conference at 12:00 Moscow Time, its online broadcast will begin, which can be followed on the YouTube channel at the link.
