"NCIC" Foundation presented report at the Congress of International Studies

Director of the Foundation spoke about our collection and recent exhibition projects

On April 25-27, 2024 The Second Saint-Petersburg Congress on International Studies “Global and Regional Challenges in the Changing World” was held at St. Petersburg State University. The "Nortern Convoys International Centre" Foundation presented a report "THE "NCIC" FOUNDATION'S COLLECTION AS A CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY OF THE HISTORY OF THE NORTHERN CONVOYS AND LEND-LEASE DURING THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR.

Director of the Foundation Vladimir Solomonov told the participants and guests of the Congress about the collection of the Foundation, the history of its origin and replenishment, the most important items of the collection and how the Foundation organizes its exhibition activities. The most interesting for the audience items of the Foundation's collection are regularly demonstrated in the framework of exhibitions.

In 2023 a traveling exhibition "Allied (Northern) Convoys and Lend-Lease 1941-1945" has been created. The exhibition includes both showcases with exhibits telling about different aspects of the history of the Northern Allied Convoys, as well as information stands, paintings, audio and video. Now the exhibition is held at the RANEPA St. Petersburg — the branch of the Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, where it is regularly visited by groups of schoolchildren and students of St. Petersburg.
