Excursion for the Social Rehabilitation Centre to the exhibition of the International Centre

On November 29, 2024 the exhibition of the Northern Convoys International Centre "Allied (Northern) Convoys and Lend-Lease 1941-1945" was visited by employees and cared-for persons of St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution for Social Rehabilitation of Invalids and Disabled Children of Vasileostrovsky District. Vladimir Solomonov, Director of the International Centre, conducted a tour of the exhibition, telling the visitors about the history of the Northern Convoys, their most important and tragic pages. Our guests were most impressed by the story of the loss of the timber carrier ‘Izhora’, exhibits belonging to the veterans of the convoys, as well as photo and video sequences of documentary photographs and footage. The International Cenre received a certificate of appreciation from the rehabilitation centre.
The International Centre is sincerely glad to cooperate with the Centre for Social Rehabilitation of Invalids and Disabled Children of Vasileostrovsky District. We look forward to further cooperation and will be glad to see the Centre's beneficiaries at our exhibition again!
